Task
- The engineers’ task is to expand the existing single-track railway bridge to two tracks.
- The task is tricky, because the existing bridge piers should be used and many terrain modifications must be designed.
My solutions
- Work on the model is divided into small steps: Together with the engineers we decide, design and progressively adapt the model.
- Despite taking more time at the start, this strategy is overall very economical. As a result, and notwithstanding the short production time, all decisions turned out to be correct.
